We carefully handpick the wood for each item and use "Best side up". As with any natural wood product, there may be some slight imperfections and knots in the wood which give it more of the rustic/ natural look. Due to nature and maturity of the wood, each piece may retain stain differently and as such may be slightly lighter or darker. So, please keep this in mind when ordering.
